What If Disasters Badges: Survival Milestones and Named Special Badges
The three survival milestone badges, their listed requirements, four named special badges and the reported rarity figures — plus why a rarity percentage is not a success rate.
What If Disasters shows three survival milestone badges on its official Roblox page, each with the requirement written out: survive your first disaster, survive 10 disasters, and survive 50 disasters. Four further badges are named by the third-party tracker BloxRadar — Into The Abyss, Sisyphus, Statue and Castaway — but no supplied source says what those four require. The rarity percentages published for all of them are Roblox rarity figures, not success rates.
| Badge | Group | Reported rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Survive your first disaster in What If Disasters | Survival milestone | Not given in the supplied figures |
| Survived 10 Disasters | Survival milestone | 33% |
| Survived 50 Disasters | Survival milestone | 3% |
| Into The Abyss | Named special badge | 3% |
| Sisyphus | Named special badge | 3% |
| Statue | Named special badge | 4% |
| Castaway | Named special badge | 20% |
The three survival milestones
The Roblox listing gives each survival badge a one-line requirement, and the wording is the clearest statement of what the badge asks of you:
- Survive your first disaster in What If Disasters.
- Survive 10 disasters in What If Disasters.
- Survive 50 disasters in What If Disasters.
Each line counts disasters survived, so the ladder is built from a single first survival up to a total of fifty. Every badge on that listing also carries a Rarity field, a Won Yesterday field and a Won Ever field. That makes the game page itself a useful place to look when you want to see how a badge is currently doing: Won Yesterday reflects recent activity, while Won Ever reflects the running total. The page does not attach a percentage to the first-disaster badge in the material supplied here, so the table above leaves that cell open rather than guessing.
BloxRadar, which displays the milestones under the names Survived 10 Disasters and Survived 50 Disasters, puts the ten-disaster badge at 33% and the fifty-disaster badge at 3%. Read as a pair, those two figures describe a wide gap between finishing ten disasters and finishing fifty.
How far the drop-off goes
RoTerminal's progression view gives a second way to see the same gap. It reports Survived 10 Disasters at 104K awarded and Survived 50 Disasters at 9.4K awarded, alongside a 9% conversion figure for the fifty-disaster milestone. The award counts are of different sizes by an order of magnitude, which fits the picture the rarity percentages draw: the ten-disaster badge is reached by many more players than the fifty-disaster one, and the last stretch of the survival ladder is where most of the crowd thins out.
Those numbers are third-party tracker figures, not values published by the game, and they are a snapshot of what the tracker recorded. Treat them as a sense of scale rather than an exact current total. Our progression overview covers the wider milestone ladder if you want the longer view rather than the award counts repeated here.
The four named special badges
BloxRadar names four badges outside the survival ladder: Into The Abyss at 3%, Sisyphus at 3%, Statue at 4% and Castaway at 20%. The list is explicitly headed as being ordered rarest first, so the order of those names is the tracker's rarity ordering rather than a sequence of steps.
What separates this group from the milestones is documentation. The survival badges come with a stated requirement in plain language; for these four, no supplied source states what unlocks them. Their names and their rarity figures are known, but the conditions behind them are not. That changes how you can use the list: a milestone gives you a target you can work toward, while a named special badge gives you something to watch for without a described route. If a badge's requirement is what you need, the survival rows are the ones with an answer.
Within the group, Castaway at 20% stands out as the most common of the four — yet it is still rarer than the ten-disaster milestone at 33%. Into The Abyss and Sisyphus sit at the same 3% as the fifty-disaster milestone, and Statue is just above them at 4%. In other words, the rarest special badges are about as rare as the hardest survival milestone shown, and none of them is common.
What a rarity percentage does and does not mean
BloxRadar labels the column Roblox rarity, rarest first — not a success rate. That warning is worth taking literally. A 3% figure puts a badge among the rarest entries in the tracker's list, but it does not tell you the odds that a particular attempt, map or round will award it. Nor do two badges sharing a percentage imply that they are earned in the same way; the survival milestone and the named badges at 3% are listed as separate entries with different amounts of supporting information behind them.
When you want a current reading rather than a percentage, the official listing's Won Yesterday and Won Ever fields serve a different purpose: they show recent and cumulative awards for each badge, which is closer to activity than to rarity. The two kinds of figure answer different questions, and mixing them into one ranking would overstate what either source says.
A badge hint is not a guarantee
One recorded gameplay session offers a small caution about badge hints. At the jungle pyramids, a player is told "you get a badge for coming in here", but after arriving reports "there is no badge" — the advertised award did not happen in that session. This is a single recorded outcome and does not establish a rule about badge hints or locations in general; it does not prove that location-based awards are absent or that every hint is false. What it does show is the value of confirming a badge through the badge list or the award notification rather than assuming a hint has paid out, especially when the badge you are chasing has no documented requirement to check against.
Picking a target
If you want a badge with a requirement you can actually plan around, the survival milestones are the practical choice: the first disaster is the entry point, ten is the next stop with a published requirement and a 33% rarity figure, and fifty is the long-range target where both the rarity percentage and the award counts fall sharply. The disasters list is the reference for the rounds those survivals come from, and the how to play guide covers the round structure if you are still getting your first survival.
The named special badges belong on a different kind of list. You can recognise their names and see how rare the trackers consider them, but without documented unlock conditions there is no confirmed procedure to follow. Treat them as badges to notice when they appear rather than as objectives with a known route, and check the badge list after a session rather than relying on an in-game hint alone.
