What If Disasters Progression: Survival Badges, Streaks and Your Next Milestone

What progress does What If Disasters actually track? Permanent survival badges at 1, 10 and 50 total survives, plus a daily best streak — here is how rounds count and which milestone to aim for next.

Quick answer

What If Disasters tracks two survival counters across rounds: permanent Roblox badges for surviving 1, 10 and 50 disasters in total, and a daily Best streak today counter shown in your server. Aim for the lowest badge threshold you have not reached yet, and treat the streak as a bonus goal for the day.

  • Permanent: the Survive your first disaster, Survive 10 disasters and Survive 50 disasters badges, counted cumulatively.
  • Daily: the Best streak today display shown after rounds — a day-scoped streak, not a lifetime total.

What the game counts as progress

Only one of the two counters is permanent. The permanent one is badge based: What If Disasters awards survival milestone badges for your first survive, then at 10 and at 50 total disasters survived, and the count accumulates across as many sessions as it takes. On the game page, each badge listing shows a Rarity figure plus Won Yesterday and Won Ever counters, so you can gauge how many players have reached each tier before you.

The temporary one is the Best streak today line shown after rounds — in play it reads like 'Best streak today, someone's on a 76 win streak' or simply 'Best streak today, 47'. Because it says today, it follows a win streak for the day on that server rather than your lifetime record. The badges are the number that keeps growing; the streak is the daily challenge layered on top.

Progress also carries over between sessions: the lobby SETTINGS window is titled 'Saved with your progress'. The same lobby holds SHOP, MISSIONS and INDEX buttons, with a Credits balance displayed in the shop.

Decision guide

Choose for your situation

You have never survived a round

Go for Survive your first disaster — one round finished alive unlocks it.

You have 1 to 9 survivals

The 10-disasters badge is next, at most nine survived rounds away.

You have 10 to 49 survivals

The 50-disasters badge is the top listed milestone — a long-haul goal, one survived round at a time.

How a round turns into a survival

Every survival comes out of the same repeating loop — the What If Disasters how to play guide covers it in full:

The round loop behind your survival count

  1. NEXT DISASTER countdown

Wait in the lobby while the timer counts down to the next disaster.

  2. ENTERING SIMULATION

A short loading window of about 13 seconds while players gather on the central carpet.

  3. Round map at 100/100

You teleport in with a DISASTER IN 00:30 countdown and full health, with time to pick a spot before it starts.

  4. Settlement banner

Back in the lobby, a banner announces the disaster, the map and who survived — for example EARTH ENTERS A MEGA STORM / 4 OF 12 SURVIVED, with survivor names listed.

The loop then restarts: every round that ends with your health above zero adds one more survival toward the 1, 10 and 50 badges.

Survival itself is a health check. You teleport in at 100/100, disasters chip that number down, and you count as a survivor only if your health stays above zero until the sequence ends. Recorded rounds show how thin the margin can be: one player rode out an EF5 tornado and finished on six out of 100 HP, while another survived the disaster itself but died from a hard fall, leaving the score at 12 out of 14. If you go down early or join mid-round, you can spectate until the lobby starts the next disaster.

The banner also names the map the disaster hit — the recorded mega storm round settled on the Thrill Park. Preparation is where the rest of the site helps: the disasters list explains what each scenario throws at you, and the Thrill Park map guide covers one of the arenas you land on.
